How To Stop Losing Garden Tools
Do you regularly lose the garden tools because their colors melt into the garden? I do. It’s infuriating. It’s tragic. It drive me nuts. I totally lose my mind over losing the tools. I’ve left garden tools out all winter and found them in spring. My great friend and stand-in Mom, Eileen, came over last year and told me her secret tip for preventing tool loss.
How To Stop Losing
- Buy brightly colored tape
- Wrap the handles of the tools so they are easier to see
- Never lose a tool again
How to stop losing garden tools is super-easy; just wrap your tool handles in neon colored tape. She swears by this method, saying she has not lost a tool in 20 years (although apparently she’s lost the tip of her shoe – see photo above). Find some brightly colored tape, then wrap’em up and save yourself a whole lotta heart break over lost garden tools. Happy gardening!
Just yesterday I lost pruners and loppers, and had to retrace my steps all over the front AND back yard to find them! Nothing frustrates me more than putting down a tool and then walking off and forgetting where I put it. Duh — this is so simple, one of those “slap your forehead” kind of simple solutions. Thanks for helping to salvage my sanity.
I lose mine all winter outside – I’m horrible. 🙂
Using tools holster might be helpful. Usually I use one for my pruner.
I was thinking of attaching GPS devices to my tools, especially my rake … I swear I have gremlins in my yard and they steal my rake the second I put it down.
