HOT DANG – – IT’S THE FIRST FLOWER OF SPRING!!!

Finally, the first flower of Spring in my Chicagoland Zone 5b garden. This is little Iris reticulata – she is SO cute! I have no idea of the variety, but it is a delightful bluish-purple a touch of white. I am simply THRILLED, THRILLED, THRILLED to see some green and flowery-ness in all that brown. HOORAY!
Let the garden season BEGIN!!!

Interesting that just a couple miles down the road things are so different! Our Iris reticulata is going great guns!
