Bleeding Heart
This morning I woke up and read the news. Bad news. All around the globe there is so much negativity. When I looked out my window and saw my Dicentra ‘Gold Heart’ dancing in the wind, I knew I had to show it to you. There is beauty in the world, there is goodness – all you have to do is look for it. This morning it was right outside my back door.
Bleeding hearts were called “Lady-In-The-Bath” by gardeners from the Victorian Era because if you turn them upside down and spread them apart a bit they look like a lady sitting in a bathtub. You can see my lady friend in the photo above – pass the bath salts please.
Search out beauty and goodness – it will heal your heart and make you smile. We need more smiles.

My bleeding heart has darker leaves, but the same lovely pink flowers. And, my columbines are starting to flower along with my Japanese Iris!
Going to plant some Nikko Blue (Pink here) hydrangeas in the front.
OHHHHH – I love my Hydrangeas and can’t wait for them to bloom. I have several varieties, but my favorite are good old-fashioned Annabelle’s.
