Leather and Lace Container Garden; Black Velvet Meets White Lace

Last year I tested out a fantastic annual plant named the Black Velvet Petunia from Simply Beautiful – the world’s only black petunia!! NO KIDDING! That much excitement in a plant can only lead to one thing – a design idea that features chains and whips. Okay, maybe not all that, but certainly leather and lace!

With this amazing new black flower wowing spring nurseries, it is a perfect opportunity to build the container design union of rock-star proportions.

Black Velvet Petunia is a fantastic plant. Containers filled with leather-black mounded flowers which have a tidy habit and love the full sun are perfect on a patio.

Breathless White Euphorbia does well in part-shade and sun, with dark green leaves are flushed with red. Small, lacy-white bracts flushed with pink cover the plant all season.
