Did you know that parsley is a cold weather crop
Went out back this week to throw my coffee grounds on the composter and what did I discover? A DECEMBER MIRACLE! Did you know that parsley is a cold-weather crop? I did not know – and now I am doing an herbal shake-the-bootie celebration.
Both types of my Jung Seed parsley, Italian and Curly, were still green. Granted they were leaning a bit from the weight of the snow on top, but green. Thanks to a warm fall in the Chicagoland area this season I will be having some parsley quinoa salad for lunch this week. What’s growing in your garden in December?
It’s wonderful to have parsley during the winter months. Mine is looking awesome, just clipped some for a favorite pasta dish the other night. Enjoy the goodness, parsley offers amazing health benefits.
Thanks Carole! It’s been quite the surprise!!!
