Can You Jump Off A Cliff in Mexico? Trying To Conquer Lifes Little Cliff From Hell
Xel-ha is an eco-park on the Mayan Riviera coastline in Mexico. This eco-park is intensely beautiful and while we were there we talked a lot about empowering ourselves to do things that really frightened us. There is a scary bridge to walk across and rope challenges and snorkeling with huge fish that are bigger than a human. I was terrified to the point of trembling about jumping off a big cliff – you can see in the video the look of panic on my face when I tried to face this cliff-from-hell.
We did a lot of interesting things while we were at Xel-ha too, like eat chicle from a Chicle Tree, use a rope swing to swing into the water, meet the frightening Tiger Ant. But it was frightening beyond belief for me to try and conquer my fears to jump off a cliff.
Life is so difficult and filled with challenge that go beyond are every day lives – they require us to grow and face challenges. What are some challenges that are difficult in your life?
It’s the end of the year – maybe a great New Year’s Resolution for 2013 would be to pick yourself up by the bootstraps and try again on a challenge in your life? Can you jump off your own cliff? Give it a try!
