Chicago Flower and Garden Show 2013
This year the Chicago Flower and Garden Show is a breath of fresh air in a cold, dank, dark, gray, winter. There is nothing more exciting than getting out to smell some fresh hyacinths and learn about the latest garden and green trends. Sustainable ideas are predominate in the show – there are several green roofs on display and lots of discussion about reusing and recycling in design.
Below you see a few photos of creative design ideas at the show. My favorite exhibit at the show is The Peterson Garden Project display. Fantastic sustainable ideas are incorporated into the garden. LaManda Joy is a great garden friend who runs The Yarden blog and is intimately involved with The Peterson Garden Project in Chicago. She is promoting the concept of “Voicing Your Victory”, which connects the relevance of Victory Gardening in modern times.
While at the show I will be speaking on The Home Depot Stage. I was there yesterday and will also be on the stage at 2:00 PM and 4:00 PM today (3/13), and 2:00 PM tomorrow (3/14) teaching container planting. I am demonstrating how you can plant Bonnie Plants Herbs and Vegetables in a container that will tolerate full shade and drought. My books will be sold at the event as well. I hope to see you there if you are able to break free from the cold weather.
The Chicago Flower and Garden Show is open for garden smelling, touching, and loving until March 17, 2013 at Navy Pier in Chicago, Illinois.
That’s really wonderful Shawna! Sadly I don’t think I’ll make it there until Saturday. That whole being a corporate drone thing….

Wouldn’t it be easier if we could be able to save changes ourselves whenever we want. Net’s builder has been
out for a little more than a year, yet it already helped more than 5,000 webmasters to
create their online forms.
WOW ϳust what I was looking for. Came herе by searching for Boonnie Plants
To make different dishes from this, you simply need to pick out
your pre-cooked meat, cut it, cook it, add sauces to it, add it to your recipes, whatever
you need to do with it, but you cut your time considerably because
the meat is already cooked. Japanese people have always been known for
eating healthy and for staying in great shape.
Taste for seasoning– you might want to use more garlic, tahini paste or lemon– and add
salt and freshly ground pepper to taste.
