Basil Grapefruit Martini Cocktail Recipe
Fall is here now, I have long since closed up the gardens and the warm days of Indian Summer come few and far between. My thoughts drift to the garden and summer; a girl can dream can’t she? Seems like the perfect time to share a Basil Grapefruit Martini Cocktail Recipe using the very last of the basil in the garden.
Basil Grapefruit Martini Cocktail Recipe —
– Fresh Basil Herbs
– 3 oz Vodka
– 1/2 oz Triple Sec
– 1 cup grapefruit juice
– Ice
– garnish – sliced lime and a sprig of basil
Muddle basil in a martini shaker. Add all the other herbal cocktail ingredients except the garnish. Shake. Serve.
Special thanks to Territorial Seed for allowing me to test out The Drunken Botanist Plant collection, the basil is a great herb to have in the garden. You see Superbells Pomegranate Punch Calibrachoa in the top photo from Proven Winners. Above is the video of the cocktail recipe if you would like to see how the grapefruit deliciousness is put together in action (if you’re getting this post via email and cannot see the video, please go here – LINK). I will be thinking thoughts of friends and laughter, warmer weather and garden-happiness when I sip this martini. I hope you will too. Cheers!
