Ciaran Burke is Helping Community Garden in Ireland; Happy St. Patrick’s Day to My Irish Friends
Amazing gardener
When I was in Dublin, Ireland a few years ago I met an amazing gardener. His name is Ciaran Burke and he runs a little facility in County Roscommon Ireland called “The Garden School”. His team teaches local gardeners how to plant and grow and build community with gardens.
This year they have started “The New Growth Project” which helps provide horticultural and gardening courses to unemployed people in their community. I love this project and hope you will support Ciaran and his amazing students by ordering some of the cute t-shirts that he and his wife, Hanna, have designed. They will happily ship to the U.S. or anywhere in the world and sales go to teach the students in the program.
Order T-Shirts – HERE.
*Note – Ciaran sent me a few t-shirts at no cost to try out and my favorite is the “Deliver Us From Weevil” shirt. So cute! I am giving the t-shirts away to people in my community and would be writing about this program whether he sent me a free t-shirt or not. It is my opinion that more people should be building programs like this to help their communities.
“The New Growth Project” is a perfect example of how a garden and a few well intentioned people can help build community by teaching local gardeners how to make a difference. Happy St. Patrick’s Day!
I love the “Deliver Us From Weevil” T-shirt! Thanks for the smile. :o)
