Testing this patio umbrella has been a delight. I forgot and left the umbrella out in full force winds and was thrilled that the umbrellas made it through the wind and stormy weather without a hitch. I’ve spent years testing umbrellas and have come to realize that you get what you pay for. The cheaper the umbrella, the more likely it is to get damaged out in my garden. This season I got two of the Midtown Umbrellas ‘The Swilt’ and have been thrilled with the results.
Easy to Use and Install this Patio Umbrella
Want to install The Swilt umbrella? No problem. Simply pull out of the box, put it in a patio base (sold separately) and you are done. There is a handle you turn to open the umbrella and it is really easy to use. You can open it up so that it is completely open, but if you want it to lean to one side, you give the handle a couple more twists and it blocks the sun from a new angle.
Wind Protection with Strong Supports
This strong umbrella is over-the-top heavy-duty and resistant to extreme winds. This makes it perfect for my Arizona garden which has a lot of wind.
Sun Protection with Terylast Fabric
Living in Arizona means I have a ton of sun as well and the fabric on this umbrella is a fade protected Terylast fabric. It comes in all sorts of colors and I chose terracotta, to blend with my terracotta planting containers and other bold colors in my garden.
