Yep, I LOVE my cast iron wok. If you have been reading my Modern Cast Iron Wok Guide, you know that I consider this the pride of my kitchen.
Besides retaining heat better than other non-cast iron woks, my favorite wok also has this incredible FLAT bottom. That means it will sit directly on your stove or grill top without one of those crazy ring things (I’ve lost so many of those in my past wok life). Another fantastical benefit to wok cooking is once your pan is seasoned well, cooking in it is fairly non-stick. That means you can get a non-stick pan without all those toxic issues that come along with non-stick pans.
