Here Is A Sustainable Idea To Inspire A Smile – A Tricycle Flower Pot

A few years ago someone tossed out an old tricycle by my back fence. I let it sit for a few weeks to make sure it was truly abandoned. Then, with exuberance, I reused it in a creative way. It makes a perfect container for a perennial/annual mix, don’t you think?
Whenever you have the opportunity, consider the creative potential of an object before you throw it in the landfill. The possibilities are endless!

Winter Garden – Picture Perfect In February
This is a great looking tricycle and in a new garden trend color!
Thanks – the more creative ideas we can come up with – the more ability we have to keep the landfills clean. 🙂

I love whimsy in the garden. (Cheesy might be acceptable, depending.)
Great idea Ms. Shawna!
That's pretty cool.
Great idea and it looks terrific.
Another way to keep items out of the landfill is using Freecycle, as the name implies, it's totally free. I can't tell you how many things that would have otherwise gone to the trash bin have been posted on Freecycle and have gone to grateful people who have extended the useful life of the item.
Thanks – definitely a cool idea. Will look into it. 🙂

Thanks for the Freecycle idea – I have already started using it and love it!
Best wishes,

Hi Shawna, the tricycle just looks great. I have lots of toys left – cannot wait for the spring!
