Imagine my excitement when I was invited to tour an organic soil factory – NO KIDDING! Love soil. Love organics. LOVE GARDENING! I wanted to see how it works together! Why? Because as any good gardener will tell you; the best OLYMPUS DIGITAL CAMERA gardens all start from the ground up with the soil. Let us get the dirt ON the dirt.

Organic Mechanics Soil is a very special product that is produced at the Midwest Trading soil factory. I have used the soil for many years and have loved the results. Surprisingly there are many different type of soils for sale in the marketplace – but very few of them are all natural and all organic. Below you see giant towers of various soil ingredients which Midwest Trading Co. puts into their soil mixes.

Earth-friendly, peat-free, local, and 100% organic, Organic Mechanics focuses on ingredients in their products which help add something to the natural soil system instead of taking away. Their awesome claim to fame is all centered on the worm castings and bark/coir mix which really revitalizes a garden and is great to plant your plants in.

Watch the video above and see how Organic Mechanics makes and packs their good-for-the-earth potting soil.

*Note – Because the FTC requires it, I am noting that Organic Mechanics Soil sponsored the soil I got to bring home from this experience. I used it to plant my containers and vegetables. I produce many instructional stories and videos with the soil and donate a large portion of the vegetables to the local food pantry when harvested.
