Smiles in the Garden – Fall Beauty Along the Roadside

Thistle and Aster at Roadside Fall 08This gorgeous fall photo shows what some would consider “weeds” along the roadside near my home. Thistle, in particular, is an invasive plant here, yet the beauty of the overcast day, the crisp fresh air, the garden of LIFE that was just off the roadside – truly captured my heart.

Every day we should seek out beauty in nature – it brings us closer to Earth and lifts the mood of the day. It enhances serotonin levels in our brains; it builds health. Here is my bit of beauty for the day. Enjoy!

Glad you liked the ginko leaves photo. Ginkos are one of my favorite trees. Happy to have found your blog! Your thistles photo reminded me of a photo I took of thistles when I was traveling to Michigan over the summer. It’s important to see the beauty around us. Thanks for the reminder.
