How To Get Rid of Earwigs in Your Garden (the Hosta Pest From Hell)
Every year my Hostas end up looking like Swiss cheese. Why? Earwigs from HELL!!
Earwigs are nocturnal insects. They come out at night to feast on your plants. Pinchers allow them to punch holes in the plants so they can voraciously consume the tenderest bits of your prized perennials. During the day they hide in moist, tight crevices.

Great tip…I will have to try it. I wonder if, instead of throwing the paper away with the earwigs, it would be better to dump the whole thing in soapy water…and then compost it.

David beat me to it….My chickens delight in feasting on these pesky insects! I have them trained to follow me when I have a shovel in hand… they know when some tasty treat is about to be dug up or pointed out to them!
