A Gardener’s Nightmare – “Welcome to Chicago Lady!”

Thank you for entering the “Margarita-Gardener in Mexico Bird Feeder Contest” while I was off on my eco-environmental adventure in Mexico – the winner is listed below. And believe me – the margaritas were wonderful.

In the above photo you see the beach at the resort we stayed at. Gorgeous, isn’t it? When we were passing through customs at O’Hare a security officer said, “Welcome to Chicago Lady!” Indeed.

Below is a photo of my driveway and what I returned to when I walked out of O’Hare Airport in Chicago, Illinois. I was hoping to return to spring so I could immediately jump into gardening. No such luck. You have to love Chicago weather to live in it, right? ACK!

While I was gone I sponsored a birdfeeder give-away for my gardener friends. This birdfeeder (in the photo to the left) is spectacular. Right now I’m going to randomly generate a number and choose a winner. Ready?
