Playa Del Carmen

Playa Del Carmen

Today we switched hotels, moving farther down the Mexican Mayan Riviera coast to Playa Del Carmen. when we walked out on the beach, this is what we saw. Definitively, this is not a very attractive garden, yet my heart did a skip when I saw the palm tree rescue attempt.

Sandbags and 24 X 7 security guards protect the little palm tree and it hangs on stalwartly. Whether it is Mexico or the United States or India, the importance and beauty of a tree can touch even the hardest heart. It was a pleasant thing to see this tree being cared for with such love.

I hope you are taking care of your trees with the same kind of enthusiasm. And yes, I AM a treehugger. 🙂
